I don't want Zola anywhere near my club.

However, perhaps we should consider a foreign coach as our next manager. There don't seem to be many decent English managers around in the top flight, and our coaching system leaves a lot to be desired. Joey said so himself. The evidence for this is how poor our national team is. We supposedly have the best national league in the world but we're 12th in FIFA's rankings.

What we need is a playing style at the club which runs through from the youth teams to the first team. I visited the Amsterdam Arena once and on the stadium tour, the guide explained their philosophy. The Dutch produce great players, considering it's such a small country.

Can Zola build such a club? Our current manager certainly can't.

So, yes to a foreign manager, but no to Zola. And Powell for that matter.

I agree we should bring in young player's (with a mix of experience) and definitely our youth IF they're ready. But when it comes to the manager I don't want a young manager or do i want a manager who's looking to make it like Zola. With the exception of the club and the direction er want to go we need someone in charge who's been there.

Nick out of interest what are your opinions on the other names thrown up when we talk of a young manager in the future for us such as Howe and Robinson??

To be honest West I'd be disappointed if Howe or Robinson came in. Like I said to Langue, I don't want to be that experimental club for a young up and coming manager who's trying to get to the next level. I want someone in who's been there, who knows the premiership, who knows how to handle the speed of play, the different styles of play and the other pressures that come with the premiership- money, media, expectations etc. Its a much tougher league not only to the lower league's but arguably the toughest in the world.

I'd probably like to see people like Steve Clarke, Di Mattio, Malky Mackay. But despite me saying not wanting to be that experimental club I'd actually like to see Sherwood and Ferdinand here. To be honest they would be my favourites at this point.

I honestly think he's not all that, just an average manager. He could do a good job in the lower league's and probably no better than mid table in the championship if given the chance with the right backing

Don't be surprised to see HR going upstairs and these two coming across, I think Tim may have shot his bolt with Levy after his outburst and HR is shot.

Someone who can work on a small budget and willing to bring through youth. Think that will (should) be the main attributes for our new manager. Think Tonys cheque will stay firmly in his pocket until we manage to get back to the prem.
