QPR target two seasons ago finally set to arrive

Kevin Doyle is set to join Rangers - two seasons after Neil Warnock was quoted £7million for the Wolves player.

CEO Philip Beard was out in the Harlington training ground car park on his mobile agreeing a loan deal for a forward who is set to walk straight into the shoes of stricken striker Charlie Austin with a shoulder injury.

The hope is the deal is ratified by midday, enabling the Wolves man to walk straight into the Rs team to face Burnley tomorrow.

Doyle isn't as **** as some think, i think he could do a job, but we need a good striker alongside him, and not some unknown kid just out of school
