In my opinion if it happens it will be a panic buy. Old with no sell on fee, hefty wages, will have to pay a fee for him probably about 5 mill, stoke who are struggling are willing to let him go so when we go up we're stuck with a player a relegation candidate doesn't want woooooooo. Basically Zamora all over again. Oh but he plays in the prem so he must be a good signing

i'll be fuming if this goes through. More of Arry's old chums! This is EXACTLY like Zamora/SWP/Johnson/Park/Young/Cesar/Jenas/Henry and every other washed up old player we've signed in the last few years. We clearly have a policy of going for older players with low transfer fees and high wages, which is a poor ****ing move

Crouch is 33 in 6 days. No sell on value, can guarantee his wages won't be cheap, will not cut it next season if we're promoted.

I'm convinced we must have no scouting network, instead just taking whatever agents/the manager offer to us..

I agree we shouldn't buy him but if available on loan then a definite yes from me

Hughes rubbishes Crouch to QPR reports

Asked on Friday whether he would consider letting Crouch go, Hughes said: "No, it is not an option."

Maybe on a short term deal on sensible wages. But can't help but feel it's more of a sentimental thing with our fans rather than what he would actually bring to the table. Don't think he is the answer though tbh.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

get a grip fella - we haven't got loads of Harry's old chums and this year's he ain't done to bad at all with our recruitment. Crouch would be a decent enough signing, he's starting in the premier league and scoring a few goals so I'm sure he could do a job for us.

Ffs mate do your homework. Only 2 of those names you mentioned are Harrys signings.
