    Whats in a name

We all know Hull owner wants name change to Hull Tigers.

How would you feel about us being known as just plan RANGERS?

Would hate it as it links us with the politically driven Scottish club of the same name (new co)

          I would hate it.

We're Queens Park Rangers and that's that. Why would you want to change the name, something that's been there from the start and throw 125 years of history down the drain.

If it boiled down to "Rangers", I would call the owner "Fony Ternandes".
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

I agree, we have a very iconic name which I love and would hate to see ever change.

QPR - the only club widely known by its acronym.

Plus we can never be known as "Rangers" - the NewCo north of the border took over all the old trademarks and intellectual property rights from the old club in administration.

However - "London Rangers" does worry me. Might be worth a fan, or a group such as the QPR Trust, buying the IP and all domain names associated with that. Good level of protection.

the fa and football league should be protecting the heritage of the clubs, their names and colours and "history" , it proves the "fit and proper" test is pathetic.
who is an owner? a short term over seer, the club stays, the town/city stays the rest is what's written.
imagine the uproar if real madrid were called madrid city and made to play in red/blue!!
that hull owner is power mad. and cardiff in red, grrrrrr

QPR could so easily have been Fulham Park Rangers or QPR Dons...I for one would stop supporting the club if the name changed. I support QPR not London Rangers or anything else.
