Yes he did, Southampton threatened to pull the plug last minutes unless we coughed up. We said no bur puncheon had a huge falling out with Adkins. He coughed up out of desperation.Comment

That's what i remember being reported.....common knowledge at the time. Warnock told everyone JP had payed out of his own pocket. I bet he will be doing the same again after this

Luckily for Puncheon the libel laws changed just two weeks ago.
To make a case Warnock would have to show "serious harm" to his reputation which in his case might be hard to establish, so the bar has been raised significantly from what you used to be able to sue for.
Also runs the risk of other people coming forward to corroborate the practise, so all in all not very clear cut. I reckon very little of substance will happen here.Comment

Ahhhh the Spector of Gerald Francis still trawls the offices of W12. There's many of us who were surprised to learn he used to alledgedly get a percentage of any transfer profit on players he signed then sold
If he did then fair play I suppose IF he was coaching them
I know a player who signed for a larger than life manager and was told what his weekly wage would be and how much of that needed to be kicked back to the loveable rogue in readies
As for me it will always be "...Warnock is our king!!.."I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.Comment
