Good point. My reasoning was based on us being a prem club last year, and we continue to pay what must be close to prem wages for the current squad due to parachute payments, and honouring those contracts. Therefore I'm guessing that Fulham, palace, and Sunderland wage bill is similar to ours. I'm happy to be corrected, but I have an inkling that we pay our players more than any other club on the championship.Got a view of our accounts have you? In case you hadn't noticed, we aren't a PL team anymore. We are burdened by a number of players that are likely still on PL wages but without the PL income. Not saying that you are wrong, because I don't know any more than you, but that is a bold statement to make IMO.Comment

He is still only 26, but if he has a drink problem then maybe the bright lights of London wouldn't be a good idea. He might bump into Paul Merson or tony Adams one night. And if drink held those two pros back, how much better could they have been I wonder?Comment

Whether hes got a drinking problem or not is irrelevant because he ain't being sold after his last two performances and he definitely ain't coming to us if he was. There would be a host of clubs in for him.Comment
