Spot on mate, Austin is more than good enough as a target man! We need a quick poacher type

I think getting a short striker would mean charlie playing with his back to goal setting up chances, which would be a disaster seeing as he is the only one scoring.

charlies better off facing the opponents keeper and if the wide players can start crossing it to him he will score even more imo.

Always amazes me what some people see, Austin is a goal scorer , he thrives on crosses or on good delivery from wide area mainly , he likes to do his work between the posts, when AJ comes on you'll see him play wide mainly to get delivery to Austin, if Austin was a target man then AJ would just play off him, but he doesnt he plays wide to stretch teams to get Austin in. i think the big Russian at Reading would be the ideal front man for Austin and he is a target man.

But the names that have been branded about all seem the same sort of striker, Kane, Crouch, Bowrey, Jones, Cole, there all target man type's , listen he may be playing a blinder and be close to someone who will totally surprise us all ![/ evenQUOTE]

                Shane Long or Le Fondre??
Long won't drop down to the Championship and now that Baggies have appointed a new manager he'll either stay or go to a PL club....

To be fair mate that spot on. Don't know why I keep calling Austin a target man, I know he's got more to his game then that. I think it's his because he does alot of the target man jobs very well.
I hope getting another striker wouldn't change Charlie's game, just be good to have some one with a bit pace but more importantly that they are clinical.

                                Uninteresting stat of the day!!!

We have the highest average age for the full 25 squad in the Championship at 29.5
