    Nicky Maynard

Linked with us on Sky Sports.

Pretty good player & scores a fair few. Cardiff loaning him out which is a slight concern. Fit? Or just out of favour.

Maynard 2/3 years ago definitely - don't know how he's done in recent times though!

He was on fire at Bristol City a few years back i remember. But i think he got a bad injury and just hasn't been the same player since it seems. Really not sure he can come in on his own
and solve our scoring probs, but if he was one of 2 or 3 new strikers then maybe a good option off the bench

I'd take him, only cos we're desperate and only cos I remember he was a player about 4 years ago.

If he's anywhere near the level he was at Bristol City then he's an option.

Exactly he was good 3 years ago. So it's a no for me. Could of signed him when he was at Crewe if we had scouts!

No different from Kranjcar, Benayoun, O'Neill, Jenas is it?

            Seems to be our policy.

By far the least inspiring of strikers we have been linked with, very average player, should fit in perfectly so

He was only good when he was with Bristol City. NO.

Hasnt had a decent run of games since an acl injury
On his day he found the back of the net, quite spectacularly against us if I remember.
Would be a risk though and taking risks with players fitness, especially forwards hasn't paid off for us so far.
Then again, maybe we are due a bit of luck on that front so why not. It's a loan deal so I can't see it costing us financially

Might as well of kept bothroyd. Whos gone to play football and not score goals in thailand by the way, not that anyone cares.

Yes, but the quality out there is dire and we are well aware of how lazy he can be, so it wouldnt surprise me if he isn't really trying.

I would rather have kept him and Campbell than Zamora and Johnson and they would have been cheaper if not better.

I agree with this & that's pretty embarrassing when you think about it. Feel for AJ though, decent guy who works his socks off. Zamora to me is just a sponger. Barely breaks a sweat & don't expect him to jump. Poor things only about 6 ft 4

Talking of scouts fordy see Leicester have gone and picked up some French winger from le Harve for about 500k . Supposed to be well thought of over there. 22 years old and very quick , what's the bets he turns out to be another knockhart ? Can't remember the last time we scouted a decent young player and got them in on the cheap and under the radar . ****** infuriating

We've got skilful youngsters like that.. Harry just likes to 'stick to what he knows'.. which is a crying shame for the youngsters at our club :(
