Sadly agree with you re Zamora, i think you'll find HR understands we require a striker and probably cover at c/b. You say we dont look a championship winning squad, who does in your eyes, Leicester, Burnley, Derby? Not being funny just would like to know, because to me we are far stronger than those squads, just my opinion thoughWhilst I am not saying the squad is inept, it certainly doesnt look like a promotion winning one (especially if Austin is missing matches).
Most of us have been saying all season that a new striker is required. Zamora is finished and Johnson is barely able to play two consecutive games.
QPR need new players and perhaps new tactics to make better use of Hoilett and Phillips.
I would like to see a 4-3-3 system with Hoilett and Phillips playing a more central role just behind Austin, as imo, this would give them chance to use their pace and shooting ability better, especially if running on to headed flick ons from Austin. The full backs also need to get forward more and provide crosses for Austin to get on the end of.
The midfield is slow and doesn't provide enough support to the attack. So I would like to see a 3 man central midfield with Barton and either Jenas, O'Neill or Henry as the defensive pair and either Kranjcar, Carroll or Benayoun as the 'creative' midefielder. Their role would be to win possesion, move the ball around a bit quicker and play in the front 3.Comment

I voted for playoffs. Results don't lie. We are not one of the best two teams in this division. Both Leicester and Burnley have beaten us and demonstrated that they are the front runners. I don't think we have enough depth, imagination, or scoring punch to match them. Our lack of depth was demonstrated amply yesterday - two key players are out and we collapse.'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.Comment

If the season finished now we'd be in the playoffs and might even win them. But it doesn't, so we won't.Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Right now, I can see us finishing outside the top six.
We are a **** club when it comes to cup competitions, sadly.......And as the play-offs are like a sort of mini cup competition, we've no chance of getting back to the Premiersh!t via that route.
We need to start playing with a swagger befitting our status. Banish this fear of defeat, which is actually resulting in us dropping too many points right now, and as Harry himself might say, give it a real go.Comment

we certainly don't like as good as we did in our championship winning season. then cardiff were the only club who cd remotely live with us, now half the league can.Comment

I still think we'll go up as Champions.
But it will be a lot less easy than it should have been. With our team it should be great fun, not so much so far.Comment

Champs. 3 points off the lead with a transfer window coming up. No sweat. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.Comment
