I've got a feeling this lad has got that special thing going for him mate, he can score goals. He might be quiet in games but has a knack of finding the net. Having scored on his debut i too would like to see him given a goOriginally posted by DeepcutHoop View PostBeat me to it Dave!
Fair play to the lad. I'd like him to be in the squad when he comes back.

I don't think we miss a Crouch type striker, although he offers an alternative option, for me we miss a behind the back four striker someone where you can put the ball behind the defence and turn them around and facing their own goal that's why we look a better side with Johnson as he does this he runs behind
Dare I say if Bobby is fit and firing for the remainder of the season he could be key

This.Originally posted by Gerryhatrick View PostThe only poor thing about Austin for me was the utterly poor service into him. He chases lost causes and works hard, but you can see why he gets so frustrated by the **** attempted passes to him.
He would work well with Crouch maybe?
Can't understand this jumping on his back - he, as always, worked his nuts off up top on his own all game. Fair enough it wasn't his best performance, but nor was it for anybody (especially Barton who was $hit yet seemingly escapes any criticism?). Can see why Austin would be frustrated, with the move that led to his bust up with BAE a prime example; works himself into a fantastic position only for the correct ball to be ignored and a shot fired at his head 2 seconds later!
Poor performance on the whole by us, usual keeping possession without doing much with it for long periods, and when we did try & penetrate (no innuendo) our first touch was non-existent. Don't think anybody can really be singled out, just one of those days. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Very fair points. No problem with Charlie, only Harry having him as the only striker in the squad (!) and so not substituting him yesterday when 1) he was having a very poor game and 2) he was exhausting himself, running his nuts off up front by himself, and could have done with a rest with the Xmas programme coming up.....Originally posted by MattyRangers View PostThis.
