I don't think it's just the prizes and charity donations but also the monthly costs of keeping the site in existence - the server, paying for RAM etc.Hold on..if theres a choice then i say bowlarks to the prizes and charity donations and lets have the pictures of naked women! Being able to post using the same language that is used down the pub or at the game would also be nice. Dont care about prizes, dont care about charity donations.Comment

All forums have monthly costs including those that are more adult in nature where you are not pulled up for swearing and the words m o r o n and y a n k for instance are not censored.Comment

V, Incorrect I'm afraid.
Certain other forums benefit from free hosting. Those sites still have adverts, the revenue from which is received from the hosting company.
For what it's worth, I fully agree with the example of those two particular words being OTT in terms of censorship.
Without wishing to keep going over old ground, the aim of this site was in part to give something back to the club, bearing in mind the financial status was once very different from as it is now. Spending money in the club shop would have helped, albeit to only a very small degree.
Won't say too much more on that subject though, as I am likely to get carried away with a certain issue.Comment

All in all its a bit pointless anyway as i like many others i am sure use built in ad blockers when browsing so it doesnt matter whether a site is hosted free and uses adverts or not i never see an advert.
Football forums should be like football discussions down the pub or at the ground and should not be censored.Last edited by vblockranger; 24-10-2013, 02:57 PM.Comment
