Im not knocking him, I'm sticking up for henry who got dropped cos of a kids reputation. And we paid for it imo.

Yeah fair point and I have no problem with either signing. Both were pretty average but I have seen enough of phillips to rate him and a good signing and carroll can do well but will need protecting, ricky isn't understanding my point that he is too lightweight to play in a 4 man midfield, might do better just infront henry and barton maybe

Actually agree re Carroll and a four man midfield and think Rednapp got it wrong yesterday should have gone 4-2-3-1 with Johnson injured. Not sure about the Sun gossip column, dont read it myself each to their own

Both as it happens!......enjoyed the game and did the others in the car on the way back. My driver is a whizz at the crosswords....get stuck, I just ask him!

dropping henry who hs been outstanding for us, for a small child just cos everyone in the game says he is brilliant (with no actual evidence of such) was a liberty imo.

well the the team won, gave debuts to a couple of young players, new young striker got off the mark, the team made up from a tiny budget compared to last summer is coming along very well, the XI is still evolving but you would hardly notice that 27 players have come and gone in a few months, Remy aside cant think of any who have gone that would do better, there are going to be bad performances and defeats and disappointments this season even if it goes well thats just football, but it hasn't happened yet.
