wow we have some comical fans on here tom carroll want at his best today (spurs fans seem to rate him so he cant be all bad)matty Phillips just wasn't match fit anyone who has seen him play for Wycombe and blackpool will know he is decent,our team is full of players who some of our so called fans didn't /don't want at the club green(useless) onhua (not fit to wear the shirt)dunne(past it)barton (overpaid/over rated)o neil(west ham chuck out)swp(often abused)henry(awful and yes that came from me but he has made me eat my words)Austin(the new mike sheron),think some of our fans should either support arsenal or a top 4 prem team where they win most games or someone like Bristol rovers where they could moan habittualy.only dropped 2 points joint top yet we have the most whingeing fans ever,please give the new boys a chance.

I think Phillips just wasn't used to playing as he's been out for a long while, so has no match fitness really. Looked like he was blowing quite a bit second half.

He wouldn't have got on for as long as he did if Junior hadn't got his customary injury so bit unfair to judge him based on that.

Carroll did look lightweight but hopefully should improve in the right sort of system and once used to the hustle and bustle of the Championship

Carroll poor opening 10-15 mins (granted started poorly), after that don't remember him doing much wrong at all? Always wanting the ball, kept possession for the most part & always gave an option. Quick feet, can see how he is viewed as such a talent. Phillips looks fairly rusty tbf but the lad clearly isn't fit and was only called upon due to Hoilett's injury.

Anyway w12 was right 2 very poor performances from the new signings but phillips was clearly just rusty and I have seen enough of the guy at blackpool to dismiss any of w12 concerns. Carrol however worries me. Having the frame of a mascot in this league concerns me and he will only be effective in a 5 man midfield. Like any young lad he was keen but tried to hard and needs some sessions in the gym.

Carroll is a very talented young player who needs looking after in this league so play Henry with him to mind him and allow him the time and space to play. Once he gets used to the team he will be fine and will make a big difference to Charlie Austin

Well all new signings need time to settle in , to say Phillips looked rusty is an understatement

We so often make excuses for players , Phillips today dare I say it had the demeanour of Boswinga

As for Carroll based on today's performance I think a stint on the bench is required
