Diakite is strong, he is a powerful runner (runs much better with the ball than Barton), and he can get a good shot in from distance. His only problem is discipline, and it's up to the management to work on that.

Unfortunately, a lot of people have short memories, and the moment a player has a few bad games, he becomes rubbish, which is what has happened with Diakite.

Remember when Barton got cheered-ed off for being substituted? Why? Because he was playing sh*te. And now you reckon he's the greatest DM ever to have played for us - hahaha.

Ability wise Diakite could definitely step in for Barton if he found the kind of form he had when he first joined us. But his head has completely gone so we'd be better off keeping Barton, which I don't think will happen.

At least some fans analyse the game properly and realise that Diakite is a good player, and that the problems are in his head. And that's what we pay Harry and the backroom staff for, sorting out a player's head.

Can't tackle. Can't pass. Can't be bothered. That's what he has done for us most of the season. What part are them traits are you trying to convince me he is a good player?? Don't you realise he stole money from you, fans and the club. We paid him to do a job and he didn't turn up and do that. All he done was stick out a leg and get booked. He is a thief and a criminal by taking money for us and not giving anything back in return. How you can defend him is beyond me, and you have the cheek to say you know more about the game than me. Unbelievable!!

P.s i do remember when Barton was booed and i wont forget that he wanted out, but he has turned it around by giving 100 percent in his performances this season. Diakite still wants out

Because I don't want to get into childish arguments as the mods have let me back on the understanding that I will be a positive poster, I am not going to start talking about how clueless your posts are. All I will say is that you need to analyse the game more critically, don't believe the mumbo-jumbo that we are where we are because of Barton, 11 Bartons wouldn't get us promoted, we are where we are because of the whole team starting to gel together, and there are players who are more crucial to us than Barton. If Barton went, it would make no difference to our challenge whatsoever, we still have Diakite, manage him properly and he will be a more than adequate replacement.

Diakite is a quality ball-winner, brings so much strength into the midfield, but he also has his faults.

I don't see the world in black and white, I know some fans do so you think that just because I like someone like Adel it means I think he is the perfect deal, far from it, but I know he has heaps of ability and I can't wait till the end of the season when the Adel-haters are sitting there crying.

Diakite can't pass, can't tackle and can't be bothered. Where is the quality in the player?? Sticking a leg out and fouling??? How can people not realise that he stole money for getting paid to play but didn't do his job. Should be angry that he has stole money from fans pockets and now want's to leave. A midfielder who can't pass and tackle shouldn't get any praise on here
