Not saying it will happen but Defoe wants to stay in London. Arsenal, Chelsea not interested, Fulham have enough strikers, West Ham would like him but need to sell first and that doesn't look likely to happen. Palace would be waste of his time as very likely to get relegated. That leaves us as the next option, yes there are a lot of Prem teams who would take him but they are not in London. Still a big ask but not as impossible as many are saying.

We offered him shorter contract than West-Ham? Harry was also more keen on keeping Barton. You´ll never know what happended when Barton came back, must have been a lot of persuasion going on I guess..

Shoot me down but I think I'd prefer AJ to Defoe..... His work rate, all round presence, link play is better suited to the championship.....
