Totally clueless without him. The only player with a natural footballers brain. Great work that would be, ruin the whole heart of the side for 3 million, but spend ten million in total on a bloke who cant score and one with a broken arm. Really thought we had learnt our lesson. So hope this paper bow locks.

I had one of those this morning too. Gone down now though.Originally posted by jimmycarter View PostIn fact, had a long hard think, and hes that important to us, that if he goes then so does our chance of automatic promotion. Sod all to do with last nite, (tho i do think that was a taster of life without him), i have thought he is pivotal to our success since i heard he was playing on the first day of the season.Originally posted by CroydonCaptainJack View PostSuddenly he is the heart of the team after a few good games!!
Talk about an over-rean to one bad result in a competition we clearly do not care about.

That's rubbish mate. He was there last night along with Richard Dunne. Harry rested him because he's played in every league game. I think I even remember hearing Kevin Bond allude to this in his press conference too after the game, assuming that made it on the recording. If you have a QPR Player account have a listen but I'm sure I remember him saying something about Joey Barton.Originally posted by Westway View PostWas he left out of the team so as not to be cup tied if a prem club were to sign him?

I agree with the original point.Originally posted by CroydonCaptainJack View PostSuddenly he is the heart of the team after a few good games!!
Talk about an over-reaction to one bad result in a competition we clearly do not care about.
Our midfield last night was shocking, embarrasing, dreadful, I can go on. Infact I can say the same for the majority of the team!
So no it is not an over-reaction but a very valid point. Let one of our best players of this new season leave and then watch the decline.
