Its All Gone Quiet Over There.......

Since Parker has gone its gone very quiet on the Transfer front.

Has the club learnt its lesson have all ITK channels been closed ?

it would appear there are no known Lines of interest.

Maybe Harry is getting the electric windows on his motor checked in time for his Training ground Transfer Deadline day cameo

It's the best thing that could've happened to this club if it means we can close our deals without alerting others.

I honestly don't think what Harry or anyone from the club says has anything to do with whether a transfer goes through, that's all down to the player, agent and club officials! In saying that we all know how disappointing it is when Harry implies we almost have a player wrapped up then it doesn't work out so for all our sakes he should just STFU until it's official!

Maybe it is just that nothing is happening

and maybe that is because the manager has got a tiny fraction of the budget that Hughes got last year

and therefore has to wait until deadline day for bargains and loan deals.

Will go wuiet until the last week of the window now I reckon.

I read yesterday that 80% of transfers happen in the last 7 days and the majority of deals hinge on others being done, which in turn rely on othr deals being done. Bit of a catch 22 really.

We'll still be extremely busy. We can't help ourselves when it comes to getting new players through the door.

Which players would you realistically like us to sign?

I seriously find this statement laughable. Nothing personal but seriously this is ridiculous. As a professional footballer if you have a Premiership club vs a Championship club who are both interested in you, you'd be a complete buffoon to choose the championship club at this point in the season. Any player who does so would be a complete fool and wouldnt be signing for the right reasons. I'm delighted we were linked and close to signing players such as Scott Parker and Gary Hooper so how anyone can be embarrassed about this is just crazy. At least the board are showing aspirations about signing good provern players. Classic case of the board being dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. We have they best chance in the world of signing anyone globally as long as a Premiership side isn't interested in them, once that happens we have no chance unless the players signing for the wrong reasons.

                          Think you misunderstand Dazzer.

Firstly, don't think I have once criticised the board for anything. I think they are doing a fantastic job, despite relegation.

My main concern is a manager mouthing off about hoping so and so will sign in the next few days, only for him to go elsewhere. HR needs to keep his mouth very firmly shut. Let's face it, he didn't enhance your reputation for the inside track, did he.

With regard to your point about choosing a PL team over us, I disagree. Maybe I value our good name and reputation more than you do. Given the choice, I would rather sign for a club with an exciting future and a highly probable promotion this season, than the almost inevitable obscurity that will come with playing for Norwich or Fulham. Also, how many youngsters careers have been ruined before they began, simply down to the lure of the PL?

Nothing personal either, just my view.
