You can't win by selling your best players. Junior has started well and could have a great season. We should not sell him.

I thought we payed Blackburn compensation. I can't remember the exact number but I thought it was several million (3-4?).Originally posted by ollyhoops View PostDepends if Stoke offer £7m though.
Not a bad profit considering he signed for free.
In any case, winning would make me happier than making a profit!
Edit: here it is:
Blackburn will receive up to £4million in compensation following Junior Hoilett's summer move to QPR.
The 22-year-old left Ewood Park to join the Rs after his contract expired and the two clubs have now agreed an initial fee of £3million, which could rise by £1million depending on appearances.
Rovers also revealed they will be entitled to a sell-on fee should the Canadian winger depart Loftus Road for a fee higher than that which the Barclays Premier League club have paid for his services.

Hughes admits Hoilett interest
Hughes has admitted that Hoilett is the type of player he would like to bring in to the Britannia: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8873652/?

We wouldn't make much on him then, I guess it depends if Hughes wants to pay the £7m.

Exactly what would be the point of selling him then, would make fark all, and lose one of our best performers so far this season, without having anyone as good in to replace him.Originally posted by ollyhoops View PostWell done I didn't know anything about that arrangement.

If only! But we paid 3-4m, Blackburn get 40% of whatever profit we make, so in the football world that is relatively fark all, and also bear in mind any replacements are priced at £7m for Townsend and £5m for Phillips.Originally posted by hooploft View Post3 or 4m fark all wish I had your life style
Don't make sense to me, but wouldn't be surprised if it did happen, cos Stoke have hardly spent anything this year so could well pay what is needed.
