    Not everyone loves Joey

just read this on LFW, made me laugh!!

disclaimer;this is all IMHO obviously. I was absolutely flabbergasted by 1,000s of our fans at the game yesterday singing one Joey Barton even before hed kicked a ball. This guy has been
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

A bit ranty, but an understandable point of view. I think most people, Joey included, were surprised by the response he got.

The poster of that sounds like the sort of bloke that would want a fight if you accidently stood on his foot. Joey is immature and seeks attention. He is contrary and therefore loves a heated discussion on numerous topics. He's also a very good footballer and we pay him, like many others, vast sums of money every week. We are called supporters and we do just that, support! Singing "there's only one Joey Barton" means we are supporting him to play well for our club and it worked yesterday.

If we were singing "we forgive you joey for tw&tting carlos T, for playing on your twitter more than most p155heads wee" then yes he has a point but he sounds like the sort of "supporter" that's as contrary and argumentative as the man he hates so much.......just my opinion on the matter

To me it sums up how too many fotballsupporters in Europe mostly attends matches for the "Banter" and not the game.
Sad state of affairs, really. We have the same problem on various messageboards aswell.
Personally, I donīt cherish the violent side of Joey Barton.

It wasnīt him I mainly referred to. It was those who regards him as a symbol of violence. On this site they often use the phrase; "man up" lol.
