I like the strategy. Last season we went for class and were relegated. This season we're going for mediocre to see if that does the trick.

Interesting point about the first 5 games, they tell you a LOT more than you might imagine about your season.

The year we were promoted I was over in Sept. and there was an article in the Times that said in 8 of the last 11 seasons, the teams that were first and second in the Championship after 5 games (I think it was 5 games - it wasn't very many anyway) were both promoted! At the time we and Cardiff were in the top two (I can't remember which order), so that season made it 8 of the past 12 years, since Cardiff didn't go up.
