I don't think there is any chance Cisse will stay (even if the club wants him).

Cisse is a quality finisher. He proved that when he joined and the few chances he got last season he put away.

His attitude and effort was terrible yes but he was getting zero service. Not defending his performances but he feeds off chances and was not getting any. Provided we had Hoilett/SWP/Tarbs creating chances for him in the Championship he would score for fun. But he won't want to stay anyway.

I said earlier I think the guy can finish brilliantly....

But he has a super ego and doesnt move for the ball... Remy was a breath of fresh air for this.

Bags of confidence and went searching and running for the ball

Personally, I would ditch Cisse and bring in a young Striker with potentially.. Rhodes is my pick

nope, not as maybe, its a fact (re posts 41 and 42). He was outstanding that year, and Warnock helped him in a way Harry never could.

interesting to look back 12 months on...
Of that team I think Ned + Green did great - Traore/Hoilett/SWP/AJ all did a job but didnt score many - JJ good but injured a lot - Remy + Samba headed for the hills along with Mackie - had that British core though in the team that the OP mentioned which served the club well during the season.
All the Hughes signings were still at the club at the time but not many get a mention.
I thought Samba was great before he went to Russia - but he wasnt the same player coming back after just a year - lost his edge, pity.

Readiing on his wiki; Samba is periodically linked back to clubs in England. Ahem
Have to say I feel sorry for Harriman. He should have got a chance this season.

Agree he looked very good at right back in our last game at Anfield. He certainly should have been around the sqaud and dare I say it could have done equally as good a job as Hughes did which would have saved us a wage.
