The way it works at QPR (and at most clubs) is that the manager says who he wants, makes the initial contact direct or via an agent and the CEO or Chairman deals with the nity gritty and finances. Harry asked TF to seal the deal and get Bridge. TF offered a deal which Bridge turned down on the advice of his agent, and subsequently got a better (but not great) deal from Reading.

If Harry continues not to get his players due to the clubs insistance to offer 'reasonable' deals he will walk, he doesnt need the sh* t
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

But why would we want a 33 year old on a one year deal when we need to start building a younger squad.

Harry is only interested in the 'here and now' and will only stay if he gets his own players in and gets us back up. He wants tried and tested (in his eyes) players that he knows and that will probably get us back up. He's not interested in youth and building the academy as he knows he wont be with us to see it come to fruition. Bentley, Bridge and Gallas etc are the type of players he wants which is why if he stays, he'll play Zamora and Johnson upfront next season with Derry and Faurlin as holding midfield players.

If he gets us up he'll retire

Even though Bridge maybe would have been a good signing for us, I am glad the board are sticking to there guns by saying they won't make the same mistakes again.
We signed a few players last summer on frees or small fees with good experience over the years, that then went on and let us down!!!

Harry's job is to get QPR promoted this year.

We should be automatic promotion. Anything else is a failure.

I'm with you - at least a serious push for it anyway.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I agree. Some here seem happy with just staying up!
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I'd like to think we are auto favs to get promotion or just scrape in via the play offs but I won't get carried away just yet not until I know who will be coming in, but more importantly which if not all of the parasites are gone

If Remy stayed and played the same next season as he did last he would do well next year and be worth a place in a promotion team.

Apart from him all the others need a miracle turnaround in form. One or two miracles are possible, 20 is not.
