Don't knock Knocker...........Who's there????!!!Originally posted by Shepherds Mush View PostWhy would not signing Wayne Bridge mean we won't do decent business? Something I don't get, we have fans saying we need to get rid of the highly paid lay abouts and build a young team, so how can they moan we turned down or didn't bid enough for a 33 year old who has signed a 1 year deal at Reading. If we are to build a team that kind of player on a 1 year deal is not what we need

I haven't seen Harry come out and say I didn't get backed, he said on SSN he was a player who he would be interested in and could possibly be his first signing, but that was before WB agent stepped in and made his demands. It will come out soon what he asked for and I bet all these knockers will then think differentOriginally posted by vespa View PostI get what your saying , but were not Brighton fans are we ?

Were you in the meetings the board held with HR? Do you know the details of what was discussed? You state as fact that the board and HR haven't discussed which option to go for. How do you know this to be fact?Originally posted by Shania View PostTF had this as an option; if a few seasons in this divisions means we can come as a better organised team and club, then why not.
Personally, I fear for the risk of getting relegated again next season. No-one can walk this league or even plan for a midtable-position. That´s the problem.
But what really baffles me is the fact that it seems like HR and board hasn´t really discussed which option to go for. I though they had a constructive meeting a few weeks back where details like this very thoroughly discussed.
Pure speculation and not a shred of evidence I'm afraid. There's far too much of this going on right now by a lot of people so please don't think you're being singled out.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

"Wheres your evidence!" ..this is a forum Richard its all about conjecture and peoples own opinion on events. If we was dealing just with facts then we would all be taking whats said in the papers as gospel. That might be what you do but most people dont take that as 100% fact and instead draw their own conclusions through logic or rumours...then post their opinions on here.

The question I would be asking myself and possibly what TF was getting at in interview about his/agents intent is had he agreed to go to Reading for what has turned out to be a moderate wage as Ric says, lets speculate and say 15k, but when he comes to us he and his agent do what every other signing has done in recent times and added 5k to that and said he wants 20k. We have got wind of this and said no we match Readings offer or we go slightly below it but topped it up with incentives on appearance but he has opted to go for the higher basic wage.Originally posted by Felt View PostYeah I'm sure his boyhood dream was to one day play for the mighty Reading. Ric said he was keen until we gave him an offer that was apparently shabby beyond belief.
that scenario certainly would not surprise me and would support TF comments. Could be we have just dodged a bullet which 6months ago we would have taken directly in the chest

Yeah exactly if our offer was so shabby, shows it was all about money for him, which we have all said we don't want here anymore, or he just didn't want to join us. His choice hopefully he'll regret itOriginally posted by QPRWEBBIE View PostYeah he would of wanted a 4 year deal £50k a week, considering he played for city and had a high wage there.

Do you mean opinions, or spouting codswallop? Wouldn't you agree informed opinion is much more sensible than invention or wild speculation?Originally posted by vblockranger View Post

Look..you trust TF and think he's brilliant. Some dont trust him as much as you and think he is a bit of a plum when it comes to running a football club. You believe everything you read in the papers is gospel but others are slightly more cynical. Just accept it that there is a minority who are not 100% convinced by Fernandes and believe that a lot went on last season that he doesnt mention in his endless interviews or that you have read about in The Guardian. I think Hughes is a dreadful manager but i think he was undermined by Fernandes and Beard in some ways and after such an embarrassing season saying "i am sorry i was naive" just doesnt cut it. Some also doubt his motives and the long term future of the club under his chairmanship. Personally i am also sick of his countless PR motivated patronising tweets that he spouts endlessly but i think that ones just me :-) He needs to cancel his twitter account, stop the endless interviews and soundbytes and get on with fixing all the mistakes he has made and run the club quietly in the background like all the other good Chairman do.Originally posted by QPR Richard View PostDo you mean opinions, or spouting codswallop?
