Could you ask about defoe and bale while your chatting to him?Originally posted by MattyRangers View PostI duno tbf - whether it's 40% of the sale price or 40% of the profit, I thought it was just on the sale price but I'd have to call my pal Daniel to check for sure.My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

Funnily enough on the blower to him now. Said Defoe doesn't want to settle down yet and Bale is as straight as they come. Sorry.Originally posted by WCE View PostCould you ask about defoe and bale while your chatting to him?You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Sell on clauses generally are arranged on profit made on a deal not on the sale price.Originally posted by WeAreQPR12 View PostThat is wrong though because they have a sell on fee %. So they get 40% of whatever the player is sold for so forget this profit lark
Cast your mind back to when Trevor Sinclair left West Ham Utd for Man City.....all us fans thought we would get a decent bit of revenue from the deal and at the time we desperately needed it. As it turned out we got less than a couple hundred of thousand because the sell on fee was 20% of profit made on the sale and West Ham only made 600k profit.

Nonsense though ain't it?Originally posted by SuperHoopNik View PostRemember the club won't sell him for less than £15m, a lot of money left even if Spurs get a large chunk out of it.
If Adel wants to go he will force a move and in reality we would accept a hell of a lot less than 15m.

He'll probably get a move, as much as I want him to stay I think it's probably time to move on, he ain't really progressing in his career if he drops a league, leaving us with an unmotivated player who will let everyone down. Kia Jabchorhdgsdgsdgdfidhgdh will get him his move.Originally posted by Tarbie View PostNonsense though ain't it?

He'd probably thrive under Di Canio tbh, similar players and Di Canio would understand him. Come to think of it, not a bad shout actually.Originally posted by Shepherds Mush View PostCan see Di Canio coming in for him - cue quality bust-ups every week on MOTD"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Of course the club will sell him for less then £15m if they got half that price we would be robbing the club buying him. If we get and offer of 4 or 5 mil he will be gone in my book.Originally posted by SuperHoopNik View PostRemember the club won't sell him for less than £15m, a lot of money left even if Spurs get a large chunk out of it.
Adel has blotted his copy book, he's done nothing to demonstrate to the top sides hes worth them taking a risk on. The time to get a payday on him was as soon as we had got promoted and his stock was at its peak in hindsight that was the time to cash in if the rumours of clubs offering £15m are true. Like a brand new car from the point we were promoted Adels value has decreased each season

Not for me. Adel is Adel and he will not change for anyone. He has undoubted talent but to go with that he has a bad attitude.Originally posted by SuperHoopNik View PostHe'd probably thrive under Di Canio tbh, similar players and Di Canio would understand him. He been with us if you include his loan 4 years I predict once he leaves us he will not spend longer then two seasons at any club he signs for going forwards.
He wont get away with it at other clubs like he did at ours in the main because us as fans have protected him as we are desperate for a hero as we have been brought up on the likes of Marsh, Bowles, Francis and Ferdinand and Adel fitted that mould as he had skill slightly; before him Buzaky was the golden boy as he was deemed as a skilful player. Two players if we are honest with ourselves who are average (I give you Adel slightly more then average) and not as good as they are hyped up to be.
