I know they do - hense why I am asking, just purely wondering what you would be willing to lose his services for (knowing what he can do in the Championship). £3m would see us pocket £1.8m for him. Each to their own mate, but personally I think the damage he can do in that league is worth far far more than that.Originally posted by Yousef View PostAt the end of the day, Spurs willget their 40% no matter what prices we sel him at. His recent performance, he is not woth more than £3m imhoYou should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

40% of any profit we make as I understand it Yousef. We paid 1m for him so if we sold him for 3m then we would bank 2.2m and Spurs would get 800k.Originally posted by Yousef View PostAt the end of the day, Spurs willget their 40% no matter what prices we sel him at. Not sure where you went to school but it's 1.8m for us and they would get 1.2m so really not worth sellingOriginally posted by Tarbie View Post40% of any profit we make as I understand it Yousef. Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

Footballs changed fella, this isn't the late 90s or early 2000's. A player with Adels ability and still 3 or so years left on his contract will not be sold for 3m, no matter how poor the club or fans think he has played. Even league 1 players move for more then 3m these days. There is no need to sell him, we don't have money troubles and he is under contract. If he wants to move then it's down to his agents to get a club to bid a lot more then 3m other wise he is not going anywhere. I agree with people that no top clubs will come and bid for him so it is down to the clubs who have a lot of money to come in for him, hence the links with the middle east and russia. If we sell him for anything less then 7m who ever is making that decision is mad, and if no one offers that money which I doubt they will, then Adel will have to play in the championship next season.Originally posted by Yousef View PostAt the end of the day, Spurs willget their 40% no matter what prices we sel him at. Tarbie is saying that the cut spurs get is on the profit only, not the fee we received I think.Originally posted by WeAreQPR12 View PostNot sure where you went to school but it's 1.8m for us and they would get 1.2m so really not worth selling
Ie: 40% of the 2.2m profit, not 40% of the 3m fee.
EDIT: Just seen Tarbie made it £2.2m profit from a £3m sale when we bought for £1m - you're comment about incorrect arithmetic is correct

What I'm saying is that the arrangement we have with Spurs is that they get 40% of any profit we make on Adel.
I understand that we bought Adel for 1m, as such if we sell him for 3m Spurs would be entitled to 40% of the 2m profit............which is 800k!

That is wrong though because they have a sell on fee %. So they get 40% of whatever the player is sold for so forget this profit larkOriginally posted by Tarbie View PostYou're both wrong.
