Some Rangers fans slaughter Mackie in the same way they did Puncheon - the very same Puncheon that was a quality player for Holloway in the PL (and more recently for Saints). If he goes (and I hope he doesn't) I won't be surprised to see him doing for Holloway what Puncheon did. I'm sure someone will tell me it's different because it's Mackie but you could substitute the words people have used for both players and will end up with the same net result

Yeah, personally I think Mackie is useful player to have in the Championship. Also he is one of the few that actually wants to be here and will put a shift in. Plenty that I'd like to see leave before him.

Serious question guys what is Mackie's position I have never been able to work it out. He plays out wide but he wants to play up top.

Im not sure I trust him in either position, not clinical enough to play up top when a chance comes but equally does not have a trick/skill to play as a winger.

Did he not play full back in the championship when we went down to 10men and he was a revelation??

We should do our best to hold on him because his attitude is needed. He is not PL player. However, If Palace come with a decent offer of £2+ I think we should accept it. We desparately need to reduce our high wage bill.

How do you work that one out,he is one of the lowest paid players on £28k a week, defo stay,£2m buys nothing when trying to replace him. When we won the champ Mackie was our top scorer until he got injured

We've got three players go play wide right: Mackie SWP and Park. Yes I know Park's been playing CM for much of the season. Personally, I'd try and offload all three.

Get rid of SWP and Park.

At least Mackie is cheap if you look at these 3 average players.

Yepp, I did either read it on this messageboard or I did see it on telly. But anyway; people sure were impressed by him. Apart from having a great engine, he is very physical in his play. The latter is also a plus for a fullback. Remember Taiwo!:pleasantsuprise:
