This thread is really wallowing in misery. I'm more interested in the good players we are going to bring in over the summer. And we will need a few because I don't think our current squad will be able to compete in the Championship - it requires GUTS.

To be fair to Cesar, he played well in some games too. He was brilliant against Tottenham at home, Chelsea away and home. Yes he made some big errors at times, but to say he sent us down because of the mistake he made against Villa is ridiculous! We've played 34 other games! The 10 players he's had in front of him have been pi$$ poor. It's too easy to blame goalkeepers

Yes he has been very good as well. But IMO Cesar blows hot & cold, flaps, doesn't collect, pushes down into the box, most important he doesn't command his box which is KEY in the Premier League & we already had a top goalie in Rob Green when Julio signed hence why I think he's one of the worst signings made.

As for the mistake against Aston Villa. I'm not saying we went down because of that 1 mistake over the whole season, but I am saying that mistakes was extremely costly & made it impossible for us to bounce back from the drop. If it wasn't for that goal I think ( can only assume ) we would of won that game
