Glad we missed out on him in Jan as no doubt that was his only motivation.
He may have been partly motivated by money, but he was also not a regular in their team Lukaku and Long were usually ahead of him.
Had he joined, he would surely have netted in the Norwich game (win instead of a draw) and perhaps would have given QPR some decent option in attack at Swansea rather than Mackie. Likelwise he could have played and scored against teams like Villa, Fulham,Wigan and Stoke giving QPR a better chance of staying up. Instead Hoilett stayed and produced sweet f.a. and QPR went down with a whimper.

Green is a more than capable keeper and will be 1st choice next season. QPR need a new young keeper as back up.

I would like to see players young players like Gayle, Forrester, Madden added to some experienced players along with some of those currently in the squad who won the title 2 years ago i.e. Faurlin, Taarabt, Derry, Hill, Mackie, (yes he lacks quality, but is a trier and sometimes that is what is needed in the Championship).

Bothroyd is a decent Championship striker and wants to stay and if Diakite wants to stay he could be a good player too.

          QPR will need:
          3 GKs (Green +2)
4 FBs (may need to sign these as the current lot wont stay or are not good enough)
4 CBs (Onuoha, Hill, Magri +1)
5 CMs (Faurlin, Derry, Diakite +2)
          3 WM (Mackie, Ehpraim? +2)
          1 AM (Taarabt)
          4-5 (Bothroyd +3/4)

Some of QPR young players might fit the bill i.e. Harriman, Doughty, Ehmer, Sutherland Andrade.

I forgot to include Suk Yun and SWP (he at least puts in a shift).

Zamora and Johnson might also stay.

If Traore is happy to stay, I'd keep him, but only to play as a winger, he has shown us in a number of games this season that he does not have a defender's brain i.e. at Stoke against Southampton and most recently his header on Saturday that started Arsenal's winner.

Even if we sign a few striker I honestly think a fit Andy Johnson will be crucial next season. He'll score us 20+ for us
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

A fit Andy Johnson just doesnt happen over a full season.

How much is AJ getting per week, he won't give us anymore than 20 games in a full season.

If he can stay fit then we have one of the best in that league.

My guess, between 35-45k a week. Maybe even up to 50.

That could be two good championship players for the price of one.

Could probably get that Gayle in on a 5-9k a week contract and then 2-3 more players for that wage AJ is likely to be on.

We have a good back up keeper Murphy. Save the money and spend it on other areas.
