If we sign him, then we have not learnt from our mistakes.

He would be a signing similar to Nelson, adding a bit of much needed grit to a side with a soft centre. how is that a mistake? will go to a prem club anyway

He's 36 years old I would prefer a young and hungry defender.

I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Hypothetically, if we gave him a one year deal in the champ, he could be an excellent player to help us bounce back up. Agreed Brian, similar to Nelsen

he says he wants to play in the prem. near enough ruls us out from the outset...

He said he wouldn't mind dropping down a division to prolong his career...... Could be a possibility....

I think a signing such as Phil Neville on a free transfer is a no risk transfer. Very much in the mould of Derry and Hill hardworking and would set a good example and experience such as him in the squad could be invaluable next season when you need a mature calm head to settle things down

I think his brother would also put in a good word... I'd take him for the year and could be one of the best signings we'd make. All depends on wages after all.

                              no thanks!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
