FFP rules in the Championship

Where would this leave us if the Football league bring in a wage cap? Would we have to release players? ...or would the football league fine us or stop us going back up because we have not adhered to their fair play rules......There's a paragraph on the fair play rules here...Under the scheme owners can invest a maximum of only £6m this season, £5m next and £3m in 2014-15. After that clubs will be limited to a maximum £2m operating loss and £3m of investment from their owners or risk a heavy fine or a transfer embargo.
I really don't see how these rules are fair to all clubs anyway, to me these rules say if you're a club of say our size we have no right to be promoted, and only the Leeds and clubs of that size have a chance of being promoted to the prem.....not fair play or an open race is it?
Lets just hope Harry can pull off our miracle, cause this ain't a good time to go down.

the fair play rules defo favour the current big teams....its an attempt to close the door on suddenly rich clubs...as for wages in the
championship I suspect there will be a non retrospective clause. for clubs relegated from the prem I presume there would be an allowed period to
ramp down the wages

I would think so...which when you think about it...should give qpr an advantage..
obscene as some may find it...we ARE richer and may be allowed ,under the rules, to
pay more than the opposition IF we go down

That's typical of TheFA. The big teams will keep growing while the smaller teams fall away. It's basically saying teams wi big grounds & good ticket sales etc will be the bigger teams.

According to the link above, no sanctions are available to the FL until 2014/15, so we should be OK for a good old spend up next season.

Fair enough. Still a silly rule. Big clubs always get bigger while small clubs get smaller. Real shame
