Superb keeper. Do you think he will be England number one in the next few years?

Yes, I mean he will have to leave us to get noticed more, but he is in my opinion at the same level as Forster who is the only other keeper who I think can compare. (Hart is nowhere near as good as he is made out to be, error prone and not commanding enough. Still shouldn't have been replaced by Bravo but still).

That's why we should tie him up now so we get maximum dough for him and minimum release fee.

What would you value him at??? I would say anything between six to ten mil

Hope we make some decent money on him if he goes.

They have to be keeping an eye on him.

We need to give him a new contract which protects the club, we don't want him to leave for nothing.

Not a shadow of a doubt, smithies will be Englands number 1. Pickford is his only rival, let's face it if Scott Carson can get a cap smithies will hold the spot given a chance!

Just stated in the match thread , not sure where we would be without him? I'm running out of superlatives to use for the man, truly an outstanding goalkeeper, probably the best I've seen here since Seaman?and possibly big Phil Parkes? He really has the potential to go on to great things , sadly I don't think it'll be at our club ,just hope we tie him down so well that if others come calling they're going to have to pay big bucks

Said it before please do not let us end up with another Charlie Austin situation and he goes for peanuts.

Typical Rangers, that's what we do! Sell our best players, we didn't do that in 75-76

After seasons of miss kicks, gaffs and mute keeping it's an absolute pleasure to have a proper keeper between the sticks that you can rely upon and who don't have your heart in your mouth when he's dealing with a easy back pass
