Austin out Washington in both done on the quiet with no fuss

Plenty on here moaning about club being run like a circus having our trousers pulled down and missing out on millions of pounds but both these deals seem to have been done quietly and professionally

So begs the question is this a sign of us now actually operating both professionally and with a bit of forward planning and thinking as I cannot believe the Washington deal was put together since Saturday so if we have structured and planned Austin's exit suerly that's a positive sign of what we keep getting told about 'lessons learned'

jury is out at the moment mate. did we make a good buy of 3/3.5mil for a league1 player who has scored 2 goals in his last 16 matches?

im backing him but there is always that chance the old uncle bungle could of had his trousers pulled down yet again. this time by barry fry.

would hate to think that we could have got wells for that price.

Positive. Business well done behind the scenes as it should be.

Tbf I don't think west is asking about the quality of WAshington, he's asking about the manner in which we've done our business ?

I've seen 2.5 million for CW and still seen some fans on Twitter moaning. That's nothing really compared to what we paid for Caulker, Fer, Sandro. Good business

CA reckoned he was intent on staying until interest came from Soton 'a couple of weeks ago' - that may coincide with his 'injury' in training after the Brighton game ?

Would like to think we were chasing down JFH's shortlist as soon as Charlie told them he was interested, in which case a week or so sorting CW seems right

Really glad they got it done, even more that it was done quickly and quietly, and without Uncle Bungle's media circus

I like that it's been done with minimum fuss, but more than that, I like that both deals were done fairly quickly. We've spent far too much time getting transfers over the line in previous years
