I don't think we'd pay that much, the club have learnt and we need to trust them.
Oh, sorry mate. Hadn't noticed the title previously to our discussion and thought it had been changed off the back of your info from the all knowing red

So he'll only play for the money, we need the right players who want to be here and play for us.

I'm a big fan of Harry's..(as you may well have guessed)..but if TF is willing to spend big on the likes of Caulker, but not Rio then i have to say i support him.
Not against Rio signing but it would make more sense to spend big on a player that should last longer. Hope this disagreement if true doesn't leave us without Harry as our manager

Think TF should draw line in the sand say you can have maybe two older players for experience but no more and this is the philosophy on signings we want going forwards

                  I think you're right mate.

I'm not a fan of signing players at the end of their careers but I would have taken Rio and Frank Lampard. That said I'm very happy that Tony has made a stand, I would much rather we invested in younger talent that can be developed!

Yeah it's not like our board are making him work on a strict budget ...seems the money is there for the good quality players...just not ones at the end of careers, which tbf is a good philosophy

I'm guessing he's been on big money for most of his playing career and probably won't want to drop much below that towards the end.

This is a player who's played at the top for many years and won loads of things. I'm sure he'd like to return to London on big money for a last hurrah.

We've been told by some on here that we should sign him because he's world class, fit as a fiddle and got plenty left in the tank. Oh, and is a good TV pundit!

If he's still all these things, why should money be a problem?

Come on Tony, the case has been made to sign him by a few. Don't let money be an obstacle!
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Rio on 80k a week, no thanks, 40-50k maybe.
Let's just go and wrap up a deal for Caulker !

Imagine that people moaning about rio and we end up with Hangerland instead on similar wages. I know who I would prefer

If Fernandes thinks signing the likes of Ferdinand is what got us in a mess before then he really knows very little about football and we really are in trouble. Ferdinand is a good character who will attract others and help develop the younger players we hopefully sign. No Ferdinand then would be very surprised if the likes of Caulker or Lecaslles sign, hangeland, Dunn and Ned doesn't really do it for me.
