Seems to be the same old quotes of 'has been' players that 'wouldnt get in our team'.Its been mentioned on here before we have a short term and a long term plan.

Short term weve signed older experienced pro's to help establish us and younger ones to push us on after that.
Cisse,Taarabt,Fabio,Hoilett and JS Park would get into most PL starting XI's (ive not named Diakite as most other fans know sweet FA about him yet). Before his injury Faurlin was topping the PL passing stats.

This squad has the potential to more than hold its own this season.

West Ham haven't got a very high opinion of our owners. To me they have more to lose than the Pompey fella because they all have good reputations TF/ Mittals and i can't see them wanting this to go wrong on a pompey scale, with the huge publicity that would go with it, and talking about our stadium do they not read papers or watch ssn, the new stadium talk is everywhere.

Hoilett is only here for the money,well that maybe true but you don't get anywhere unless you put your hand in your pocket. I do understand why people think we could do a Pompey/Leeds etc but so far TF has backed up his talk. I don't think the spending will continue like this every window but we are at this time having a big and much needed push to get the quality in.

Yep he learnt off the great one i Brian Clough and it shows.

As for WH fans they will always have a dig at TF as after he tried to buy them and failed (make him a easy target) they were left with rubbish.

I just ignore any comment from a WH with regards to TF and the board as it is always been nothing but rubbish

I love how no club has a clue about Diakite. Still for me, in footballing terms now and for the future, potentially our best signing. Let's see what his profile's like this time next year :D
