For what it's worth, we looked more threatening in the second half as we so often do. MW has found no way to inspire better starts to games, with a thirst like we showed versus Luton and a few others earlier this season.

Why is it so difficult to return to a strategy that was working...and much more exciting?
MW has to take the blame again because the football he is getting them to play is too slow with too many passes deep in their own half. Stats don't win games, goals do and we need to play more like we did when Clarke came on. Why wait so long before making changes? Eze was useless today as well as being largely to blame for the goal, as he stood waiting for the ball to come to him.

game of two halves yesterday -way too slow in the build up allowing a very defensive well organised bristol city to stack up 2 banks of 4 - so many times yesterday there were all 11 BC players behind the ball - their lump of a Number 9 was a second right back when they were out of possession. 2nd half was much better - BOS got into the game a bit more and Eze went into the middle where he is better suited.

trying to accommodate Chair , Eze and Bos in the same team means one of them has to play out of position - sadly as Eze seems undroppable it might mean chair has to drop out to allow Eze in the middle and Clarke coming in on the wing .

          Have to disagree with this.

          Yes he has talent.
Yes he can be extremely good on his day.

Trouble is he does virtually nothing except pass backwards and sideways for the majority of games he plays in.
Only once in a while does he truly shine.

Would rather have BOS and Chair play over Eze as at least they have a desire to go forwards with the ball whenever they get it.
Can't say the same for Eze and quite frankly he rarely looks up for it.
One flash of brilliance every 4 or 5 games doesn't mean he is undroppable.

that's what i am saying - Warburton seems to think Eze can't be dropped - i don't think he has even subbed him in any game despite him playing poorly like yesterday

Ah yes, apologies, I see what you were getting at now.

Think he should earn his place in the team and not just expect to be a starter every game.
Think he should put more effort into challenging for the ball as well.
Always goes in half hearted and never fully committed.

We are trying to build trade value in Eze, so MW has clearly been told by management to give him max playing time. I love the kid, but do not think MW has leaned on him to up his game when he seems disinterested. For Eze to be a real Premier League star he needs to take over more often, and he needs to learn that standing in front of an opposing player with the ball does not constitute defense.

Eze's profile can still be bigged up even if he gets rested once in a while. In fact, the opposite is true when flogging him whilst clearly off form.

I would like to see him dropped for the Huddersfield game with Clarke taking his place.

                    Kelly
                    Rangel Hall Masterson Wallace
                    Ball Amos
                    BOS Chair Clarke

You have a valid point. Perhaps resting him here and there would prove more productive.
