For me Norths that tells me the opposite the lad is for sale. Not many clubs come out nowadays and publicise they have turned down a bid. the only reason that you would do this is to alert other clubs that may have an interest that there is more then one party vying for the signature. If the price is right the lad will go but they can say we wanted him to stay offered him a contract but he wanted away. Club therefore get easy ride from fans and they get the cashOriginally posted by Norths View PostThey seem determined to keep hold of him and guess that's the point of them going public about turning down a bid.
Also in contract discussions with the lad hints that he is prepared to stay. Case of him bottling the step up perhaps...

I'm torn ...i feel i should want him as his record last year was very good. But as hitman says where was he for the last 10 years?..A week is a long time in football they say... so last season is counts for littleOriginally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostHope Burnley ups the price. Dont want him particularly.
