Nonsense. We would fail to beat Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool 9 times out of 10 whether we played them 25 years ago or 25 years from now. If you honestly think us playing them in the PL was as even as us playing Blackburn and Forest now in the Championship then you're an idiot, simple as that.

We had a better team back then and were playing better quality opposition. We have a poorer quality team now but are playing at a lower level. You need a dose of realism. Ideally it would not have taken Gerry 9 games to win in the same way ideally it would not be taking JFH so long to get his first win.

Wrong again. It's actually YOU who is the idiot for never being able to accept the fact that someone may hold a different opinion to you. Simple as that.

Of course we did, I'm not disputing that. My point is that the gulf in class between those sides and us in 1991 is far wider than the gulf between us and the likes of Blackburn or Forest in 2016.

Except it isn't simply my opinion. In 1991/92 we finished 11th - Liverpool finished 10 points ahead of us, Arsenal 18. As it currently stands, we are a point behind Forest and Blackburn are 2 points BEHIND us. So no, there is no comparison to be made.

Sorry, but when was the last time we beat Blackburn or Forest away from home? The fact that it's been so long tells you that these are not farking easy games. Of course playing Arsenal/Liverpool etc is tougher than playing Brighton/Burnley etc, my point was AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME these are difficult games for us. Only an idiot misses the original point then insults someone for daring to have a different opinion.

More spin than Shane Warne as usual from Ginge.

I never said they were easy games. I said that games against Blackburn, Forest etc. in our current position are more even than Liverpool / Arsenal / Spurs in 1991 - those PL games (by any reasonable criteria)back then were far more difficult for us than the Championship games listed in our position now. Understand that?
