Ball at his feet was good.
Saved a couple of shots.
But like all our other keepers his coming for balls into the box was absolutely shocking

How was his kicking? That seemed to be a criticism by a few on here.....

Walsh was magnificent. They dropped every corner right into a packed six yard box. He was pathetic for the first one, powder puff for the next, dodgy on the one after that but each time he was doing a bit better.

So, after their first 3 or 4 corners he seemed to grow in confidence and stature and started to "own" the six yard box and got good slaps/punches to safety. It's like he came of age under their corner barrage.

He made two outstanding saves and two great stops on top of a few more good 'uns you'd expect him to deal with.

He was calm and assured with the ball at his feet, decent kicking and decision making in terms of his distribution.

Got pinged by ref in 2nd half for holding the ball for 9 seconds but I was as stumped as him.... it didnt look or feel like time wasting irrespective of what the timer said. I presume this rule is going to fall into the hands of the ink-monitors who will insist that 8 + 1 seconds IS clear and obvious cheating and time-wasting.

Anyway, I thought it was a hugely impressive showing from what is a rookie keeper who's been out for months - he looked like our de facto N0.1 by quite a distance today.

Im glad Walsh played well. Its great to hear that our rookies Walsh & Kolli might end up saving the club a few quid over the next couple of seasons.

Walsh was fine for me made some good saves no criticism at all

I was sitting so far back I missed so much of it , thought kone was really poor , I know he scored but he's overweight , doesn't close down and can't run , honestly think we'd have won with Burrell up top.
Walsh was really good , dunne , cook were on their game ....west ham are really poor , think they're coming down .
Trying to get back to Stratford station after is a ache ..well done to WH for the ticket prices.

QPR duo impress against West Ham in FA Cup


Castellanos and Pablo will add firepower for West Ham but there is improvement still needed in defence and midfield. The best centre-back and centre-midfielder at the weekend belonged to QPR in Jimmy Dunne and Nicolas Madsen.

The Hammers’ defensive woes are no secret. The team have the worst record in the Premier League. Speaking last week, former Premier League striker Troy Deeney said: ”The £40m spent on centre-back Max Kilman looks horrendous given the way he has been playing for a long time. It is not just Kilman. Konstantinos Mavropanos and Jean-Clair Todibo are also both hopeless defenders."


Yeah £30 m each !!!!

Glad that aricle noticed Madsen. I thought he was outstanding and looked totally at ease playing against prem opposition. Easily his best performance for us. He displayed brains, guile, creativity AND put the physical hard yards in for 120 mins too - a complete performance from him.

Just watched the highlights on MOTD. Didn't mention us once on their post match report, all about West Ham and Nuno and relegation.
These people really don't think football exists outside of the Premiership.

Shout outs to young players Walsh, Kolli, Adamson Bennie who didn’t look out of place on a pitch with some very expensive wh players!

I've liked Bennie from day 1. He looks physically bigger now too and I love the way he moves and glides around the pitch. I'm unclear what his main or favoured position is but I'd love to see him get some game-time during the run-in.

Given we can make 5 subs in any game (and name up to 9 in the matchday squad) I think we could easily rely on Bennie and Kolli to come on and make solid contributions - starting XIs are a thing of the past, it's about having a strong matchday XVI nowadays.

Hopefully this will finally end the madness of sticking Jimmy out at right back. He always was and always will be a powerful dominant centre-back - we need to allow him and Edwards to forge a formidable pairing and play every game together. We have the possibility of gelling together a team capable of going on a massive push over closing dozen games with those two providing the central core/platform at the back.

Agreed......but WH's defending has been woeful. It would suprise me if they made a bid for Jimmy after his never say die performance in that game. Hopefully he'll stay for the reasons you've stated.
