22 mins in and Smyth has made 2 excellent defensive contributions that any full-back would be proud of. We really do need to explore using him as an actual right back.

Becoming a very hard thing watching varane. He just passes sideways or backwards all the time.. mbengue has carried the ball half the length of the pitch twice now which is basically what Varane should be doing.

He also seems to give away a lot of soft fouls and free kicks for no reason. Morgan is a better player technically. Shoud be playing instead of varane.

For a big lump varane plays like a 15 year old girl..apologies to any 15 year old girls reading this!!
