Hayden has to start as Varane is way off it at the moment. Id like to see Morgan too. Im sure RND will be back and Cook rested after two games in five games. Who will partner Mbengue is anyones guess.

No problem with same starting eleven as Swansea and take a view as game progresses. Think Cook good for 45 minutes gives a bit of stability at the back

Yes. I feel Derby are poor, particularly in midfield. So I'd start with Mads and Hayden and shove Morgan in there too. I'd drop Smyth for Morgan. I feel we could control midfield and run the game that way. Smyth's lack of end product wont be missed and Saito and Burrell can give us plenty of movement and energy in the wider areas up front.

I posted a while back that it didnt look like Varane and Madsen clicked or worked together. Blimey, since Varane has slipped out of contention Madsen's emerged from the shadow and turned into an absolute beast. I have to be frank, I never saw it coming. Hopefully its not a flash-in-the pan and the guy has found his mojo and he'll continue to be a real driving force in the middle.

I was also a harsh critic of Madsen and his performances warranted those comments. Im glad hes settled and is now performing according to the €4m fee we were rumoured to have paid for him.

Unfortunately Varane seems to be going the other way and if a Spanish team comes in for him in Jan, then we should consider selling him and promoting Morgan.

Think varane is just going through a poor patch , his miss last night was shocking ... He should at least hit the target....Madsen is playing better he seems to have found some energy , can be seen running a lot easier now , wonder if he was carrying a injury ....let's not give up on varane he' ll come good

Derby. Definitely winnable. Although Kone a little off the boil right now I would stick with him. He gives the team shape. The danger with perhaps Chair and no Kone is that the Ilias moulds the shape to his liking. This invariably proved unsuccessful. Chair late sub if Kone still off it.
