But Colback's an old man. Since that dumb sending off at Bramhall Lane he's finally learnt to keep his trap shut. This has meant he's not been suspended every other week and played more games than normal. Plus he has to do the running of some of the more languid players around him. Anyway, I'd imagine he's physically wrecked after this 9 month season and hence him limping off. But overall I think he's been a very solid dependable player for us this season and can hold his head up high.

Christ knows what's going on with Chair and Dembele though, brittle doesn't even come close to describing their physical constitutions.

Looked like Chair landed awkwardly and jarred his knee. It initially looked like he’d done his ACL but given he came back on and saw out the half I’m guessing it was an impact thing, so I wouldn’t read too much into it. Dembele looked like a hamstring tweak. Both need a good bit of conditioning work in pre-season.

I thought two of our most maligned players, Madsen and Ashby, were both excellent today. Ashby in particular looks like a different player to the error strewn one we saw a couple of months ago. Would be happy to have him back next season (and never thought I’d be saying that).

I feel happier without Marti. I guess I might regret saying that one day, but he seemed to get lots of things regularly wrong. If Christian really does dictate our style of play (sideways and slow), then we're doomed.
Our injury situation needs investigation. Something going on there. Get to the bottom of it!
Such interesting times coming up. I feel more positive than I have done for a while.
