First 20 mins our best away performance of the season, playing on front foot , with energy and pace , aggressive in the tackle , why can't we do that every week. Second half back to our old selves . Should be safe now at least.

Well done all. That will ease our nerves! Another win from our remaining games will make us safe.Comment

Brilliant win especially given another load of injuries. We were ruthless for a change which was good to see.
One thing I don’t understand with the injuries is how we made 6 subs? Field was not concussion, he went off with an ankle injury. So who was concussed? Bennie got a knock on the head too but didn’t look concussed to meComment

Gritty win that, well done to the team who did work very hard, in particular Varane, Colback and Field who over ran their midfield, if this was the intended outcome from Marti then well done.
But we should acknowledge how poor Oxford were, especially in the first half. Maybe 2 starters carted off through injury didn't help their rythm. We started with some energy, but Oxford allowed us to, our first two goals were scrappy and though we'll take them all day long, i think this game really needs to signal an upturn in performance rather than a release of pressure and not having to look back down the table.Comment

I didn't get to watch the game last night, so I'll keen to know how Madsen got on?
Apart from the assist was his general play better than it has been? Is this a settling in season, or defo get as much money as we can for him and send him back to Europe?Comment

Madsen was at least present in the game. Excellent corner to get the first goal.
He was helped massively (everyone was) by having such an effective midfield. No disrespect to Bennie who worked hard, but had Kolli or even Frey started to give more options for through balls (clearly a plans last night) i think we could've looked better.Comment

Morrison is looking a class act. Shame his season has been interrupted by injuries - hope he can play in all our remaining games and carry momentum into next season.
Fingers crossed we get our Eze dividend this summer but if we don't we could conceivably get a decent wedge for Varane given he's finally matured/settled into the EFL pace.Comment

Dude Varane is one of our best players, we gotta sell anyone if we get a good offer but we have to consider him as in the first few names on the team sheet when fit.Morrison is looking a class act. Eze is getting sold, no doubts about it. Just a question of how much and i think we'll be sad when it's only the release clause and not the £150 billion that i hear

But nobody wants our worst players. The only saleable players are our best ones..... I don't want to sell Varane but if he maintains his current trajectory we'll have to cash in. What we can't do is see him eventually leave for peanuts or nothing due to his contract running down. A sensible move would be to offer him a new, improved and longer deal this Summer.
