I couldn't get "into" the game at all. Dunno if my eyes are shite but I couldn't see much beyond the halfway line with the fog. I actually like watch the patterns of play, the shape and movement, but if was futile today.
At about 2:45 I was convinced the game would not take place, or at least wouldn't finish but those flame throwers they let off as part ot the build up seemed to melt the fog a bit.
I couldn't give an opinion on much today cos I feel I only have half-a-story but trying to play out from the back against sharp switched on attackers is a big no-no! As for being cocky and clever about it, well that's just suicidal.
I'm glad Chair played - think he benefitted from the run out and there were glimpses of him getting back to his old self.

Yep, agreed, the fog was really heavy. Personally I just didn't see much of what happened at the opposite end, at one point when a substitution was made I genuinely thought they were calling the game off.

Of course there is obviously a wage difference, but if what you say is taken for face value, then they may as well just reduce the FA Cup to a Premiership-only competition and indeed just reward the league title to the richest football club without a match being played.

Spanish Super Cup Final being played in Jeddah tonight! It won't be long before the FA Cup Final goes there too!

Yes I agree - the championship is the place to be - maybe the winners of the play offs could choose between the prem or the europa league!

it’s tricky as you have to go up and down a few times for it to have any effect - there are other examples of teams going up then down and then down again looks like Luton are going to be one of those.

Brentford are an exception to the rule and only now are teams like Fulham and Forest managing to crack it

Some big clubs in that list. That's why I will always advocate using Prem Sky money to have a better quality championship squad. If we stay up great, if not, then we have a better squad in our default league. Just one promotion would do me. Take the £150m and ration it over the next five seasons. This boom and bust is no good.

One season we might just get back to the prem to boost the coffers. But money is the only positive thing I see in the prem, because I love the championship so much.

I think any promoted team needs a bit of luck and coincide their arrival into the Premier League with the implosion of one of the "established" clubs. Maybe say, Leicester will benefit from Everton being pisspoor and also getting a points deduction for instance. The Man City enquiry is supposed to conclude next month too.... might throw them into EFL and only relegate two clubs.
I also think the European Super League will raise its head again.... at the end of the day likes of Liverpool and Man Utd will be sick of attracting literally £billions and seeing crud like Burnley or Norwich or Fulham getting their paws on big chunks of it. I dunno how that will pan out but I feel sure the Prem's bottom feeders will end up seeing less money and the "wealth gap" between bottom of Prem and EFL will shrink.

Of course it's a going to be tough, but we are competitive in the championship right now. It might fall away but equally it might continue.

Yes, we would get stuffed in the prem and I think we're a few seasons away (decade?) from doing a Brentford or Bournemouth. My aspirations are to get in the prem, take the £150m and use it to be a consistantly top 10 club in the championship.

I love the championship where we have a chance of being a decent club. The prem now is a circus on my opinion.

For what’s it’s worth I thought we were good in the first half but terrible defending down our right side made score line what it was. Second half again very sloppy play that led to pen on right side of defence again. After that just went thru the motions. Might be one of weirdest games I’ve ever watched with the fog making it impossible to work out what was going on. Great chants today!

Disappointed with score line but hopefully not dented our confidence as obviously second best by far. Agree with those who think play offs talk needs to wait for a few more games as l think we are still walking a fine line of success. But for sure we are a much better side than we have been so not down hearted
