It really is the midfield. Frey actually did well in pushing their backline back and that should have dragged our whole team up the field. But, our dreadful slow midfield refused to budge so there was a massive gap. It seemed that Andersen had the role of breaking forward to join Frey but he was so slow and feeble it was easy for Derby to stay compact and keep Frey isolated. The lack of pace and energy is diabolical - christ knows what they did on that Spanish training camp, maybe they joined Marti for 10 days of paella and Estrella???? But, simple fact is we look like a plodding powder-puff team in a league of big strong athletic men.

Perhaps we forgot to click the athletic box in the data filter?Originally posted by Abseits View PostIt really is the midfield. The midfield without Colback in there is certainly a worry. Agree that the Madsen signing is looking a bit dodgy right now, especially as he was our “big money” signing of the summer, hope he can turn it around as at moment he looks like a dud, when we signed him we were told how versatile he was, I was thinking Ned Zelic, hope I am wrong.Originally posted by shaggy24 View Post
There’s nothing wrong with Nardi it’s the shocking midfield and Rb the problem were lightweight slow in too many positions miss the physicality of both Dykes and Hayden and Willock stronger than Saito which says how lightweight he is Dembele ok but needs to sort his crossing out too
As for Anderson and Madsen I fancy my 2 yr old granddaughter over 10 yds to beat them and knock them of the ball pathetic
To be fair to Saito, against Hull he was putting himself about a bit and was probably the best of a bad bunch that night.
But yeah agree, it’s a concern we have replaced fairly reliable Championship experience with players that have potential to play in Championship. “Computer said yes”
