We’ve made the same mistake far too often on cf
Completely agree with you. But if we use the little money we have on a striker who is nowhere near the player we thought we were getting then the club need to prepare for the fact that the paying supporters are going to lose their sh 1t at some point. Feel a bit sorry for madsen who had been thrown into a mish mash of a side. Celar just doesnt look like he got a clue. There's no way he's a natural finisher.
Bonne
Washington
Dykes best of last 3
Madsen would be fine if he had runners around him as he’s tidy pings a decent ball to inject pace sadly it goes out to smyth who’s shocking or santos well I’d stick him down as the worst Brazil football player ive seen
Hayden was ideal added power and calmness

We needed a reaction tonight. We are not very good and could be in trouble again. I'm just hoping that we'll be better with Chair, Colback and JCS back in due course. It does evidence our lack of depth though.Comment

Could do with players who are not afraid to leather the ball down field when we're in a pressure situation. Too much football and back to basics needed on times. There's no shame in it and playing our way out of danger can be dangerous .

Yeah, we f around in dangerous areas of the pitch and ask for trouble at times. That's gotta be instructional from the Manager so what's that all about? We're not Man City, we can't do that.Comment

Without wanting to get drawn into a GA debate, as I'm generally happy with Marti, but when Gareth's team needed to clear it the ball would be played long to the wings, where the wingers would be ready to come back to avoid losing possession.
There's really no harm in long balls out to the flanks if the wingers know it may be coming if we're in a defensive scrap. Not every long ball is a hoof if we know whats going down and we retain possession by putting it into planned areas.
Putting leather through the ball and wacking it yo field should be the exception.
If there's 75% pretty football and 25% long ball I really don't see the problem. Nobody is advocating the CB launching down field to cries of "CHARGE".....!!!Comment

Madsen and Anderson in midfield
Santos in miller's pocket
Lack of creativity
No movement when we have the ball so ball usually goes back
No urgency to win the ball
Slow passing between the back 4.
These are the reasons we got spanked by hull city.Comment

I mean, Andersen should have lumped it out anywhere. What was he thinking?

It's the lack of positional awareness from the back four and the midfield just look on without picking up opposition players in advance positions. That tap in should never have happenedComment

I have the feeling that GA's methods would have been far more successful if he'd have had the two new nippy players Marti has. Poor old Gareth had no attacking width at all. It's ironic Marti has this option but prefers to pissfart about taking 35 passes to get the ball to them. Whacking a ball long into the corners for Saito or Dembele to get after is an entirely reasonable tactic to occasionally deploy.
