We are just 2 points clear of Swansea in 13th place and Coventry a further 2 points behind. We will be lucky to finish in the top 15 at this rate. Stoke can’t be much further behind either and we play them away last game.

The improvement each season under Warburton looks to be coming to an end now.

I think it is important that Rangers use the time well to find the right manager.
I think Eustace in line to replace Warburton. He turned down Swansea job earlier in season.

My opinion, we should give Eustace the job if \ when Warburton leaves. He did decent job with Kidderminster Harriers, 103 games, won 55 before joining us.

        This has gone to far.
get rid of that inept fu cking wa nker now. It's irrelevant where we finish now so put Ramsey in charge for the rest of the season .
just get that Cancer out of our club.

I have been a big supporter of Warburton, simply because results under him have been amazing given the resources at his disposal. Now, there is no chance he will remain beyond this season. And I support the decision. Warburton seems to be a very sensible man and I think he also agrees. We need a change. I feels really said because a few months back I was thinking we were going places.
This is exactly how I feel as well, it is shocking how this has gone so bad and we will have lots of time for an autopsy, I have been a MW supporter as well and think overall he has done wonders with us to keep us in the division and get the budget under control but clearly his time is up! The board needs to get this next hire right because next season could be a continuation of the downward spiral if they don't, I certainly don't want to see a panic hire but I am not sure that the job is as attractive as some on here think!

What has eustace done to deserve the job? When you fire a manager his assistant should go to. Eustace wasn't able to see the changes that needed to be made. He is as much to blame as warbs. Both should go. Get a new face, a new voice in. We need fresh ideas. Someone who wants to set us up as a young quick team. We have mostly slow players. Some are too old and/or too slow to play the way we want. We have had Wallace and uncle at wing backs for most of the season. Neither have the pace or the engine anymore. Uncle isn't even a wingback!!

Get some pace in there and try to offload Stef who I'm sorry to say is half the player we saw last year. Same goes for Wallace.

Can we tempt Warnock out of retirement - he looked so bored on Skysports this afternoon!

Doesn't really matter when he goes, he knows he is a dead man walking, Eustace as well, he is part of it so get rid at the same time,we are embarrassing at the moment and have been for sometime now, we the fans, saw all this coming way before the manager did, which is the crux of the problem, no ifs no buts, he has to go, tomorrow would be good for me, but I don't want him anywhere near my club come the end of the season

We will be starting from scratch again next season, so things could be dire for the foreseeable future, so don't expect too much

I can see your point about being one of the best teams in 2021 results wise but performance wise we have'nt been .
I can honestly say that no matter who we were playing , even when we were winning a lot of games , i never felt like we were certs to win and never felt confident that we would win and a lot of games we were poor but nicked he result.

Good post , i feel exactly the same.
Get rid of Eustace as well and most of the ageing players we've got.
It's ok having some older players with experience but not half a team , it leaves you with zero pace in team.
I thought the club was all about getting younger hungry players in to develop and sell on for a fee.

Yes. A lot of people pass it off as a "blip" but that's ridiculous and infers it's just temporary and we'll be okay soon. A blip is a few games or a couple of weeks.... it's not a few months and 25% of the season playing rancid losing football like we are currently doing.

Yes, we may well have been the team of 2021 but fact is we have been the chumps of 2022 - is there a more ineffective, powderpuff and disjointed unit than us out there today. Maybe it makes no difference if we finish 8th or 16th but they should have more pride about them. Why aren't they playing for a contract extension or a shirt number next season? As it stands you'd have to be severely worried about our prospects next season.... It's essential we don't carry the stench and pall of this season into August: we need to sort this rot out ASAP.

On the up side, my second love is horse racing, me and the Mrs have small shares in 10 horses, had winner at Aintree late yesterday, and got horses ready to run in the coming weeks, got a holiday to Crete coming up in early August, and if the weather is kind will be enjoying a few shandies in the garden in the next couple of months or so, won't have to think about football for a while, happy days

                              4. substitutions is it done by a tombola
                              5. not many in squad actually worth much for resale bar willock maybe dieng
                              6. next season could be another long slog of obscurity
