And we saw in the last five minutes that Dickie waited for a loose ball to cross the line for our goal kick. But the ball stopped without fully going over the line, and rather tap it for their corner, he flicked it back into play in a dangerous congested area. The ball fell loose and resulted in a shot on goal. As brilliant as Dickie is at this level he still needs another full season at this level, because that sort of dithering would have definitely resulted in a goal in the premier league.Originally posted by Stainrod View PostI think your bang on there sheep , Luton had a lack of quality at crucial times , that the likes of Fulham and Bournemouth have in abundance.
We have a good squad and as reported today, we may be looking for additional signings in the new year. With those additions and a fair wind that 4th place, and being the best of the rest, is very achievable.
We've come a long long way in recent seasons.

What we had was the run of the green, a bit of luck, the ref was for once on Sky, biased to us if a little card happy, two of our yellows last night could have been reds. though. Defensive passing was poor from us all night as was our possession in our own half. There were shocking balls played across and around our box. A better striker or attacking mid in their team and we're battling. As Warbs would say we did not manage the ball well, we did not take care of the football.Originally posted by SheepRanger View Post

But our movement and intensity was really good and ecellent performances from all the names mentioned (big kudos to Wallace, we missed him) meant we were the better side and deserved the win. Those who doubt Charlie, he is there to do exactly what he did last night, he'll always look poor when we look poor in the opponents half, last night we were good, he looked good.
I think Willock will be on some radars now unfortunately, very good player there.

If we take 10pts from our next 5 games (very do'able) and then beat Bournemouth I reckon we would be 5pts-ish from top 2. I'm really sick of the idea that Bournemouth, Fulham and WBA are home and hosed in terms of top 3 - they most certainly are not.Originally posted by SheepRanger View Post

Bournemouth are nailed on. Something bad would have to happen for them to drop out of auto spots. The other two are very capable of collapse or getting caught. We could've taken Fulham 100%Originally posted by Abseits View Post

I disagree. Fulham taught us a lesson on extremely clinical finishing. They have the best striker in the division and I see them winning the league. I think Bournemouth will be 2nd but we just need to hang around the top 6, I hope we avoid injuries because we're still very thin in midfield and we need some defenders in Jan as a matter of urgency. Luton could of had 3 or 4 if they could hit a barn doorOriginally posted by topperharley View Post

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
