Starting 11 seems to have 3 wing backs in it?...I'm not great with formations, how do we use Odubajo, Kakay and McCallum in the same team, one of them playing put of position I assume.

Kakay is probably one of the back three. He has played in central defence position before (the right one of the three)

I would see it as a positive for Albert in that we are saving his legs for Saturday, he’s older than all the lads playing tonight.

The central midfield with Dozzell and Thomas is ultra light. I understand that Warbs will use both to get the Barnsley match out of their system as soon as possible, but those too together is simply too lightweight. It is helpful that Chair and Willock play in front of them, but I am nevertheless sceptical to this. Maybe Willock plays centrally and Thomas together with Chair further upfield?

I know there are good reasons why Warbs do not want to use Johansen and Ball, and with Amos and Field out injured we have few options, I appreciate that. I

Another strange signing to begin with. No better than what we already had. Was part of pre season and never appeared in any of the games

Exactly. Hoping he is involved and does well but if he's not getting a look in against a league 1 team in the cup when we are down to the bare bones then it's hard to see why he was kept on for another year.

I think Oxford are a footballing side Oslo so they shouldn’t face the high press that suffocated them against Barnsley.
