We will struggle against teams playing physical the way Millwall did. The three at the back were very good and together with Ball were our best players on the pitch. I think we missed the creativity of Chair. However, we will have better games.

Yes. I thought we had enough skill and guile to cope without Chair but we looked well short of creativity and ideas without him. Let's hope his illness is something trivial and he's back in the team soon.

A good match, we didn't quite roll over them like many thought we might, there are some promising signs, the team should get better and it's great to see and hear fans back at Loftus Road!

Yeah, you can't gauge too much opening day but I'm more optimistic than I have been for a long time.

Disappointing performance & missed Chair, we can only get better, enjoyable day out being their again

Credit to Millwall though Rowett has been in charge a couple of seasons now , they will be tough to beat in every game , we could have had an easier opponent today and steamrollered them .

No lovely one touch football today,probably because Millwall started fast and we were so slow out the blocks.

Despite Dykes saying on the offy that he loves playing with Charlie upfront I don’t think it works,even if Chair plays.

Looking at the stats,our team came out on top in everything bar fouls and bookings despite not clicking on the day as a team.

Anytime Stef and Willock got on the ball with space they were fouled but both faded after the break.

Other than Jed Wallace they looked a very one dimensional team and my eyes would hurt if I watched them regularly.

Despite MW saying after the game Millwall could be a top 6 team this year I hope not as it was an ugly brand of football they played.

A tight 'don't want to lose ' opening game for both sides.

We started sloppily and ended weakly but overall it was a fair result with neither keeper having to make too many saves.

Hopefully Johansen, Austin and Chair will be fit to play at Hull next week.

Wallace looked like he missed linking up with Chair and Dykes looked more like the 2020 version.

We will improve on yesterday's showing.
