I totally agree. We have seen on too many occasions some mice football here and there , but very little of it where it really matters.Originally posted by Abseits View Post
I just don't buy into this "we've played well" occasionally idea. I think we've mostly been dreadfully lightweight and ineffectual since capitulating at Plymouth at start of season. The pitch is big, 75,000 square feet - our performance in the key areas, the areas that matter, the areas that create goals, the areas that prevent goals has been consistently shocking. It's utterly useless if Carroll strokes a nice 25yd pass with the outside of foot sideways to a team mate - it achieves nothing. Stringing 10 of those passes together with nothing on the end of it is scandalous but, it somehow makes certain fans think we're doing "okay"???
The only way we'll win today is by coming out on top of an attritional "armwrestle" but I don't think we have the character to do that.
we have not been totally outplayed in most games this season, but equally, we have not looked like winning in about 90% of them (but we have nicked one or two).

Have been supportive of MW as thought he did well last season all things considered and has not had much to spend this summer. People can talk about the strikers but we started pre-season with none and what we did spend was peanuts by modern standards. Also lost some good players.
However we are on a bad run and need to shake things up a bit. Keeping picking the same formation and same players regardless of anything is just not excusable. Reminds me too much of Ollie playing wing backs when we had no wing backs for game after game! That didn't end well and I can see the same happening this time around. Shame as aside from his stubbornness he seems a good fit.

Any side that contains both Cameron and ball in it is terrible. Both cant pass, aren't very quick and tend to pick up bookings making them a walking red card. Again the manager wont give anyone else a go. Bettache ignored yet again. Bonne must be getting splinters in his #### by now. Kelman may aswell bring a crayon and a colouring book with him while he sits on the bench as he wont get his chance either. All because the manager has no vision and not open to change.Originally posted by FurtiveFox View PostHave been supportive of MW as thought he did well last season all things considered and has not had much to spend this summer.
